Document Delivery

Mercurio Document Service is the new service now available through D.E.A. with the British Library’s Document Supply Centre (BLDSC) & the British Council.
In 48 hour’s the service will supply full text articles in all subjects areas; Sciences, Technology, Medicine, Social Sciences and Humanities.

Mercurio Document Service is able to offer this service at an incredibly low cost with its special package formula; “Mercurio25”, “Mercurio50”, “Mercurio100”, “Mercurio200”, “Mercurio500”, “Mercurio1.000”. Mercurio Document ServiceMercurio Document Service also offers the customer a choice of delivery either by fax with Mercurio Document Service @ FAXBACK or using e-mail with Mercurio Document Service @ E-MAILBACK. The British Library Collections currently include:

  • Journals: At present we have over 250.000 journal titles in virtually all languages and subject, about 58.000 of which are currently received.
  • Reports: We have 4 million official government reports from the U.S.A., Britain, the European Union, Japan and many other nations.
  • Conference Proceedings: Often details of new research are first made public at conferences. A special effort is made to collect conference material, regardless of subject and language. The collection contains over 360.000 conference proceedings books.
  • Doctoral Theses: The British Library has a microfilm collection of theses dating from 1971 from all British Universities

    Mercurio Document Service @ FAXBACK

    in 48 hour’s the service will supply by fax, full text articles in all subjects areas; Sciences, Technology, Medicine, Social Sciences and Humanities.

    Requests for articles can be sent, by indicating your customer number and the password assigned to you by D.E.A., once the service is started, by OPAC97, by SilverLinker, by Fax or E-Mail. On your requests, please indicate the journal title, year of publication, volume, issue, title of the article and the pages you want to receive (i.e., 1997, no.2078, 19 April, p29-31. The alien spotters; Chown, M.). In case you want to use “OPAC97” to send your order by e-mail, it is possible to immediately know whether the journal you are interested in is available, and the copyright costs1. Moreover, it is not necessary to digit the title of the journal on the order form, as the “OPAC97” software saves the result of your research after you have clicked on the Link “request a photocopy”. All requests for articles are processed within 48 hours and are sent by fax to the number users indicate.     Requests for articles can be sent, by indicating your customer number and the password assigned to you by D.E.A., once the service is started, by OPAC97, by SilverLinker, by Fax or E-Mail.
